Defective molex (power) connectors???? |
Příspěvek č. 1 |
Hi,
I've been having problems with stability with my comp for a long time...and i thought i had finally isolated it when someone suggested jiggling my power cords. when i took out a molex y cable that was attached to the hard drive, everything worked great. so i needed a replacement, so i put another one in...but i still had problems. When i tried a replacement from a diff part in the computer, it worked fine though. Both the replacements that i used before were older molex connectors. When i compared the newer and older (not working) ones, the only difference seemed to be the thickness of each of the wires. Can someone tell me if they have had experiences with defective molex connectors? or that there's some new standard for the thickness of the wires or something? All the wires from the PSU are the same thickness as the newer molex connectors. i'm hoping getting new molex connectors will completely fix the problem. anyone know anything about this?
